THE PURCHASING TEAM Cupertino Electric's Purchasing Team manages all equipment and materials purchases for both job sites and corporate expenditures.
This includes vetting vendors and establishing and maintaining relationships with new and loyal suppliers.
ABOUT THE ROLE The Purchasing Assistant will ensure the timely resolution of rental problem invoices, process change orders to extend/close equipment rental PO to reflect field equipment requirements, and ensure rental agreements are closed on time.
The scope of the role includes researching ordered materials while taking into consideration availability, pricing, and supplier and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all purchase orders.
This role will work cross-functionally with the Finance Team for the resolution of problem invoices, discrepancies, job clean-ups, and job closing.
The Purchasing Assistant will also communicate with field personnel and vendors.
ABOUT YOU You have experience and recent exposure to purchasing processes and have the ability to extract and analyze equipment rental data from JDE to assist in making data-driven decisions.
You have experience with SharePoint and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
In addition to your technical skills, you have exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
In this role, attention to detail is crucial, along with the ability to prioritize and work in a deadline-sensitive and customer service-oriented environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.
Education:
HS Diploma/GED required, Degree preferred.
Licensure/Certifications:
None required.
Experience:
Three (3) years of experience in related field.
